Trail-Creeper Pro 4.70 Input Gear for Toyota RF1A Transfer Cases

Trail-Creeper Pro 4.70 Input Gear for Toyota RF1A Transfer Cases

If you wheel the original Toyota Pickups & 4Runners with low range gears, you know the transfer case input gear shaft is the weakest link in your drivetrain.  If it breaks, you lose both 2WD & 4WD and are left with a difficult field repair. Our new Trail-Creeper Pro 4.70 input gear eliminates this weak point and strengthens your drivetrain.

Our new Trail-Creeper Pro 4.70 Input Gear for Toyota RF1A Transfer Cases is the new standard for Toyota Pickup wheeling. We start with tool-grade SAE 8620 chromoly steel, heat-treated & case-hardened to produce wear-resistant teeth with a high-strength, shock-resistant core. Using proper spline design techniques, we’ve added two lubrication grooves to the splines. These grooves retain oil to minimize spline wear and galling, which are major contributing factors to broken input gear shafts & stripped couplers. We’ve increased the diameter of the weakest part of the shaft by 17% to handle higher torque loads without failure. To top it all off, we are the only Toyota aftermarket gear manufacturer to use JIS Class 0 precision grinding to reduce tooth friction, resulting in a gear that transmits more torque and runs quieter than all other aftermarket gears.

These are the same gears that we put in our Trail-Creeper Pro 4.70 gear set. They are also fully compatible with our classic 4.7 Creeper Gear Sets. Upgrade today and make broken input gears a thing of the past!
