Parts are sampled to ensure proper grain structure is achieved up to 0.0003” from the surface, that’s a depth 1/10 the thickness of a human hair! Manufactured out of billet 300M aerospace material, with an integrated positive locking design, all while achieving 50° of steering, it’s the next best thing in stub shaft technology… and the last stub shaft you will ever need.
Pro Series Stub Shafts are designed to work with 60 style u-joints and Spidertrax 40 Spline Ultimate Unit Bearings.

LockedTurning 40° is impressive, but our axle shafts can turn 50°. It’s insane really, Ultra4 racers would often appear broken by the sharp steering radius, and it truly makes the difference when in tight conditions. However, when turned that tight, keeping the shaft happily in the centerline of the knuckle becomes difficult. On our Pro Series Stub Shaft, we’ve solved this problem by positively locking the shaft to the Ultimate Unit Bearing with a massive 1” pinch style flange nut. Keeping that stub shaft tightly secured not only helps with driveline vibration, but helps with overall strength of shaft and u-joint.

40 SplinedThis one’s a bit obvious, but the Pro Series Stub Shaft is 40 splined. It’s a size that makes perfect sense, especially when running 35 splined inner axle shafts. When sized the same as inner shafts, stub shafts end up taking the full punishment in your front end. The stub shaft should be “stronger” than an inner axle because unlike an inner axle, stub shafts have little room to twist, making them more prone to failure by shock loading. An added bonus: with many drivers running 40 splined rear Ultimate Unit Bearings, having the same unit bearing up front makes for better serviceability and part simplicity.

Manufacturing PerfectionWe pride ourselves on holding the tightest manufacturing tolerances in the business. We take our in-house manufacturing & engineering very seriously, and never cut corners for the sake of saving a few dollars. The Pro Series Stub Shaft is no exception to this rule. Shafts are manufactured, heat treated, and then returned to the manufacturing table to ensure those high tolerance dimensions are perfect. After heat treatment, we bore the holes for the u-joint caps in one single operation, and in that same setup fly cut the insides of both ears to ensure proper u-joint spacing.

All products carry our 12 Month Limited Warranty. All warranties are limited to the original purchaser and are not transferable to subsequent owners of the product. The warranty period begins on the purchase date. Trail-Gear warrants that it will repair or replace, free of charge, any eligible product which, under normal conditions of use and service, proves to be defective in materials or workmanship. This warranty does not cover any labor costs incurred in diagnosis of defects, removal or reinstallation of a product, nor does it cover any other consequential expenses.

Warranty Exclusions
Trail-Gear Inc. warranty does not cover, and Trail-Gear Inc. shall not be liable for, any undertaking, representation, or agreements made by dealers or other third parties selling Trail-Gear products, except where such agreements are within the provisions of this Warranty.
Specifically excluded from this warranty are failures caused by lack of maintenance, misuse, negligence, modification, abuse, improper application, crash damage, installation or operation, or failures caused by unauthorized service or use of unauthorized parts.
Additionally excluded from this warranty are parts which are subject to normal wear and tear, such as bushings, fluids, hoses, gaskets, belts, etc. Products not manufactured by Trail-Gear Inc. are excluded from any warranty and shall be handled with the original manufacturer.
All parts used in a competitive racing environment are excluded from this warranty. If, after inspection, a part returned, under any warranty, is deemed to be ineligible for warranty repair or replacement, the part may be repaired or replaced for a discounted cost. Return shipping charges will apply. Any part for which a warranty replacement is sought must be returned to Trail-Gear Inc. before any replacement items can be shipped. All replacement parts shipped before the suspect part has been received and evaluated by Trail-Gear, MUST BE PAID IN FULL. In such a case, after the suspect part has been received and approved for a warranty replacement, the purchase price for the replacement will be refunded.

All warranties are generally processed within 2-3 business days of Trail-Gear receiving the parts from you. Additional delays may be incurred if product needs additional testing or repairing.
If you are an international customer, please email the warranty department at sales@trail-gear.com to receive further instruction. International customers may have the option to field destroy an approved warranty to avoid costly return shipping. In this case, any shipping charges for replacement parts will be at the expense of the customer.
